Bob began his exciting career in the Marine Corps as a combat cameraman doing films for the Department of Defense. His mission was to chronicle various types of military movements and provide imagery for a variety of purposes. It’s a dangerous but essential role, and due to the potentially sensitive images and information gleaned during filming, it requires a secret security clearance. This weighty responsibility, technical experience, and demand for an impeccable character provided a firm foundation for Bob’s future. Once retired from the Corps, Bob joined AVHQ as a video engineer and project manager, heading up all different kinds of high-end events. Bob then climbed to Director of Audio Visual for the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, a position that helped him make stable connections with many Fortune 500 companies and realize his desire to own his own AV firm. In 1996, Bob began partnering with FNTECH on larger events, which ultimately led him to join the company as a co-owner in 2010. Over the last 10+ years, Bob’s leadership has helped guide FNTECH from a start-up gear house to a successful, full-service production company with scores of repeat clients. Today, Bob spends most of his time overseeing the company’s financial aspects, ensuring FNTECH is solidly in the black and primed for future growth. Whenever he has a moment to spare, you’ll likely find Bob on the nearest golf course, practicing his swing, de-stressing from the week, and forging strong relationships near the 19th hole.
Jeremy has over 25 years of experience in the event industry. In 1996, he and his business partner Chad Kropke founded FNTECH in a small shop in Huntington Beach, CA. Bob Moe soon joined them and together they grew FNTECH into a full-service production company with multiple locations, over 100 full-time employees and millions in revenue. Jeremy began his career in production as an audio engineer and quickly moved up the ladder to technical director, project manager, and finally executive producer. Having a deep well of experience executing high-profile, multi-million dollar events all over the world, some with more than 120,000 in attendance, we can safely say that there’s a blue moon in the sky when Jeremy is surprised by anything event related. Clients include Facebook, Apple, HP, Samsung, OpenStack, Open Compute Project, Taco Bell, Wells Fargo, Vans, Volcom and many more. Jeremy, his beloved guitar, and his stack of super-secret nerd books currently reside in Southern California with his wife and daughter.
Beginning his long career in the events industry, Chad started by managing scenic and logistics for CSS, a large destination management company servicing Forbes 500 companies. In the early 90’s, Chad took to the road touring with the infamous Volcom/Warped Tour. For five years, Chad helped scores of artists entertain thousands of concertgoers in hundreds of cities worldwide. His organization, determination, and technical expertise were all honed to a sharp edge during this time. In 1998, Chad founded FNTECH with Jeremy Muir. Since then, he’s overseen the warehouse operations and equipment inventory for multiple locations and managed the teams who build, maintain, ship, inventory, and generally care for all the high-tech and high-touch gear that makes FNTECH tick. Chad has been a cornerstone in FNTECH’s success. With a myriad of top-tier clients, thousands of moving part and dozens of staffers, no moss grows in this man’s shade. When not overseeing work endeavors, you’ll likely find Chad enjoying the sun and sand in his favorite coastal town of Huntington Beach.
